Entry Level Referee Clinics Announced

August 1st, 2009
Comments Off

Prior to each soccer season, the Idaho State Referee Committee (IRC) schedules several referee clinics. The list of currently schedule clinics is posted in the right column under the “Clinics” heading.

The Entry Level Clinic is a 16 hour course spread out over several days. Successful completion of the clinic leads to certification as a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Grade 8 referee.

The cost to attend the clinic is $22.50 if you pre-register or $25.00 at the door. In addition, there is a $40 annual fee to register with USSF. Pre-registration is highly recommended since a minimum of 6 students is required for each class. The pre-registration form is available from http://www.webpak.net/~salg/files/clinicreg.pdf .

If you are interested in setting up a Entry Level Clinic in your area; adding an additional clinic in the Boise area; or have questions about the clinics, please contact Sal Guerrero at salg@spro.net.

So You Want to be a Referee

December 23rd, 2008

Soccer always needs more referees. In southwest Idaho we are very lucky to have a well organized referee development program.

To become a referee you must first attend a USSF certified entry level referee training program. A list of currently scheduled clinics can be found in the right column. It is important that you reserve a spot in a training class. Please contact Sal Guerrero (salg@spro.net ) to reserve your spot or to get your questions answered.
